Richard Holben has, together with his firm F5, raised some £4,500 to buy bikes in Bo to help the children living some distance away, to get to school.
Due to Covid there is a worldwide shortage of bikes and prices have risen hugely across the globe. New bikes are unavailable in Bo but thirteen secondhand bikes have been purchased (see picture) with the first tranche of £900 which was sent in January. More will follow.
This is a long term project which will also hopefully lead to some employment opportunities. Much still needs to be done, but it is wonderful to see the children riding the first batch of bikes and we hope the scheme will be a great success.
