Joseph Wangai-Dakowa, Youth Worker and Chaplain do the diocese of Bo’s youth programme is pictured below with our Youth Worker Alistair Ghinn and Assistant Daniel Scarfe. Joseph has been with us this week and has spent the best part of two days helping with the preparation for Redlands 2016 and spoke at the Tower Group youth meeting last Tuesday evening. He had been distressed following the death of his Mother in Law last weekend (we prayed for all his family in church last Sunday), but the Youth Work took him out of himself and he clearly relished it. During his short visit he met many people in West Wittering and Birdham and had fish & chips with the Bo Committee in the Old House at Home. His visit builds on the already strong relationship we have with the school children, young families and the church in Bo.
Deacon Joseph is due to be ordained priest in November and we hope it will take place during the planned visit to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Bo Project and of St Paul’s Secondary School which we funded and continue to support.
