Carols on the Green

Christmas in West Wittering Village usually starts with Carols on the Green and this year was no exception when on Friday 21st at 6pm it all started with mulled wine and mince pies on the village green followed by c. 50 minutes of carol singing by the Christmas tree.

This year Carols on the Green was organised and run jointly by the Bo Committee and the Parish School. It was a great success with around 300 participants including lots of the school children and their parents and the children sang their Christmas Song for us.

The weather was perfect, we had new carol sheets, a new layout, much better sound and lighting than previously and a huge quantity of mulled wine and mince pies. The collection raised a record £795, of which £530 will go towards the second storey of the Senior Secondary School block which is currently our major fund-raising goal.
