The power of books

It’s sometimes the simple things that have the greatest impact on peoples lives. Access to books come under that category. So it was with great excitement that the books that were donated here in the U.K. finally arrived at the school after a long journey

Books are of critical importance to schools in Africa for many educational, social, and economic reasons. They provide a foundation for literacy and learning, being the primary means through which children learn to read and write, and help build their vocabulary, comprehension, and critical-thinking skills.

They also help improve quality of education, serving as reference books (science, math, languages, etc.) which  in turn supports the teachers.

The new delivery of books will achieve just that, expanding their library of literature, much to the excitement of the school’s librarian. We, and the school, would like to thank all those who made this possible and supported with donations.
