We beat our £2,000 target last weekend with the Art Sale by raising £2,105 which will go to establish the new Library in the Senior Secondary School block of St Paul’s Secondary School in Bo. The sale by Fran Blackburne of the paintings bequeathed to her by her artist mother Helen, went extremely well especially considering the weather and the display was fantastic, the visitors happy and generous, and Fran and the team did an amazing job of looking after everyone and selling pictures, over 25 of which were sold. Many who did not buy paintings made generous donations which helped swell the total raised.
It was a very special event and will make a big difference in the school where Google and broadband are still things of the future. Below are some pictures of the event.
